Albert Watson at Fotografiska: March 25 – June 12

Albert Watson’s images encompass every conceivable genre and technique and have made him one of the greatest in history. For the first time in Sweden, Fotografiska is presenting a massive and intense retrospective of Watson’s oeuvre featuring 120 photographs in an exhibition that is an intimate and grandiose presentation of this international photographer’s life and work. The exhibition presents unique images that have moulded our perception of fashion, commercialism, celebrities, photography and music for four decades.

We are proud that Fotografiska is one of the partners in Stockholm Gay & Lesbian Network. Visit www.fotografiska.eu for more information.

Welcome to the sexy, funny, dangerous world of LA SOIRÉE!
This madcap family of artists are delighted to return to Stockholm with an awe-inspiring, spine-tingling, jaw-dropping and death-defying show. Hold on to your hats, they’re back!

Tyrol will be home to the talents for a strictly limited run in spring 2011. Reviving the passion, heart, unforgettable style and good old-fashioned showmanship that made them London favourites, these artists will present their twisted take on cabaret and variety in LA SOIRÉE. This troupe of performers first played together in Edinburgh and have since performed worldwide conquering everything in their path: Paris, Sydney, Stockholm, Dublin, New York, Adelaide and even Blackpool. These artists include stars from La Clique, the Olivier Award-winning show which ran at the Hippodrome for nine months.

Featuring: Captain Frodo, David O’Mer, The English Gents, Ursula Martinez, The Skating  Willers, Amy G, Le Gateau Chocolat , Yulia Pikhtina, Cabaret Decadanse, Mooky

It all culminates this Saturday. After months of anticipation and weeks of shows, the grand finale of Melodifestivalen 2011 takes place in Stockholm on Saturday night.

If you are one of the hundreds of international fans coming to Stockholm this weekend for Melodifestivalen, then you’ll no doubt want to know which artists you’ll be able to catch in the gay clubs.

If you want to continue the party after the big Melodifestivalen finale there are at least three clubs to go to:

“The Worlds Biggest Schlager After Party” is held at lavish Operaterrassen in the Royal Opera House. Schlager queen Charlotte Perelli, winner of the ESC 1999, will be there as well as this year’s Linda Pritchard, Linda Sundblad and multi talented athlete/Mr. Gay Sweden/singer Simon Forsberg.

Popular Kolingsborg at Slussen will throw a ‘Mega Mello Party’ and be open for partying through the night with guests such as Dilba, Jenny Silver, Anniela and LeKid – all of them participants in this year’s festival, of course. Note that Melodifestivalen itself will be broadcast on big screens in the Kolingsborg panorama bar.

Zipper, the happening gay club  just off Stureplan, will as always fill its three dancefloors with gay pop, schlager, house and RnB. Schlager devotee DJ Edward af Sillén will be playing the best from this years “Mello” as well as other gay pop tunes that will most certainly make your night magical.
