I am what I am performed by the charming SAS Crew on the Love in in the air flight.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I sure did!

Thomas and Brett, the happy newlyweds and winners of Love is in the air US, left Stockholm today. We had so much fun the last couple of days. Yesterday we went to Fotografiska to see the exhibition Lady Warhol and meet the fantastic photographer Christopher Makos.

The Lady Warhol project is the result of two friends’ intense collaboration over a 48-hour period in 1981. Warhol was the model and Makos the photographer.

Christopher Makos

Fotografiska is the first to exhibit Lady Warhol by Christopher Makos. Eight wigs, two days work, sixteen contact sheets, and fifty photographs comprise this unique series of portraits that depict Andy Warhol’s transformation to his alter ego Lady Warhol.

Our lovely friend Magnus Lindbergh from VisitSweden and Christopher Makos.

Thomas & Brett

Thomas and Brett. So sweet! This photo is from a Millennium Tour at Södermalm.

Glassblowing at Skansen; Gay Stockholm

Thomas and Brett got to try glass blowing at Skansen. We also visited the Christmas market at Skansen, a must for all Stockholmers.

Today Thomas and Brett, the winners of Love is in the air US, got married!

The couple had a beautiful wedding at the spectacular ICEHOTEL in the north of Sweden. Tomorrow we have the pleasure to welcome them to Stockholm!

One of the passengers on board SK903, The Love Flight, was our lovely friend Clark Massad, IGLTA European Ambassador. As you can see, he took some beautiful photos of the weddings. Thank you Clark for letting me share them!

Congratulations to Aleks & Shantu and Ewa & Gosia!

Love is in the air; same sex wedding

Today, in Swedish airspace, Aleks & Shantu and Ewa & Gosia became the first same-sex couples to be married on a commercial airline flight. Congratulations!

Aleks and Shantu arrived at the Hilton Slussen Saturday afternoon in a snowy Stockholm. Just like VIPs there was almost a paparazzi welcoming as BBC filmed their check-in.

BBC and I then followed the couple to the Efva Attling Store where they got try to their rings – which fitted perfectly. In the Efva Attling Store, BBC’s Rajan Datar interviewed the couple as well. Don’t miss it on BBC’s “Fast Track” later this month.

Right now BBC Fast Track is filming in Stockholm. I had the pleasure of keeping them company all day. Stockholm was beautiful dressed in white as you can see. Almost like a fairytale. We mostly walked in the footsteps of Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist and met some people who actually knew Stieg Larsson, the late author of the Millennium Trilogy.

Here we are at Bellmansgatan 1. This is where Mikael Blomkvist lives in an attic apartment with a view of the water and Old Town (Gamla stan). In the books, the entrance of the building is at street level. In reality, the entrance to Bellmansgatan 1 is from the walkway over the street.
